The goal of Kaldus will be to move to the future. If a residence relied on keys, those keys can be stolen, and illegitimate copies made. With using RFID, every RFID item has its own sequence of code that makes them unique. And rather than carrying a key fob, the ID card can be used as the key. Since the address is not on the ID card, the thief will not learn where you live through the ID. And since one probably should be carrying their ID card anyways, then they will likely not forget their keys. I keep my ID in my wallet, and my wallet is always in my pants. As long as I am wearing pants, I have my ID card with me, and therefore – I would have my key card with me.
Every new and renovated home will have a control panel in the wall. This is a 9″ tablet screen built into the wall. This control panel will also have an RFID reader. When giving access to another person, they will tap their card on the reader, the owner will then enter the name, and the new tenant will tap their card on the reader. That head of the household becomes the administrator, and can add more people to the network. When the tenant no longer lives at the premise, the owner can remove their key card from the authorized tenants. This will therefore eliminate the costly need of getting new locks installed. One could also go the extra step of getting an RFID tag in their hand. Instead of using their ID card, they will simply use their hand to gain access. As with an ID card, the owner can revoke access to the tenant.
